Placing images on your slides will
add interest as they help your audience to understand your topic. All your
images should be directly connected to your topic.
To Use Your Original Pictures.
Step One - You will first scan your illustrations. Open Desk Scan II from the Launcher; click the "Preview" button on the bottom left of the dialogue box; the picture is now visible; select the section of the photo you need; click "Final" on the bottom right of the dialogue box; type in the name of your image with the extension .pict (eg. photo.pict); find your way back to your server account and save the picture in your project folder.
Step Two - To place your picture
on your slide toggle back to PowerPoint and find the slide you need;
go to "Insert" on the menu; click and drag down to "Picture";
a dialogue box will appear; find the picture you saved in your server account
and select it; then hit "OK"; the picture will now appear
on your slide.

Step One - Finding Pictures
to support your topic.
Go to the GA home page http://www.ga.k12.pa.us;
select "Curricular Technology"; near the bottom of the
page see "Web Page Creation"; click it; and click on "Jill
Tickler's Clip Art"; click on miscellaneous or animations; open
up different images for viewing.
Step Two - Getting the address
- When you find the picture you need; select the address in
the "Location Area"on the top of the Netscape window by
clicking and dragging the mouse over it. The address will be something
like http://www.forum.swarthmore.edu/~carol/ . Once you have selected the
address, you need to copy it by going to "Edit and select Copy".
Go to the "Finder" and select the PowerPoint application
and go to a bibliography slide. Go to "Edit" and "Paste".
The address should now be on the page. You need to give credit to
Step Three - To get the picture you need, toggle back to Netscape
by going to "Finder" and selecting Netscape; clicking
and holding the mouse down on the image until a menu; select "copy
this image"; toggle back to Power Point by going to the finder
and selecting PowerPoint; Find the slide you need and go
to "Edit" and "Paste".
