Andres Arturo Garcia-Menendez was born in Havana, Cuba on April 12, 1956. His family moved to U.S. when he was 5 years old. As a result he has deep feelings for his country, Cuba. He grew up in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Florida International University, he moved to Los Angeles where he held many jobs. Then, he landed a part in an episode of "Hill Street Blues" and in 1985, in "The Mean Season". His breadthrough role in "8 million Ways to Die" paved way for hes movie career to follow. He is married to Maria Victoria with three dayghters, Dominik, Daniella, and Alessandra, for fifteen years.
Andy Garcia is probably one of the most under-rated actors. Wilth his looks and talent, he can be a movie star. He is already a great actor. All heneeds is to pick a right movie. Movies like "The Untouchables, Internal Affairs, and The Godfather, Part III" are I think his best roles.
