Mythos: Zeus Speaks

Rules and Grades

1. You will submit all of your work to the online class via the web site or email. Each of you will have a copy of a special email mailbox and address that is ONLY FOR THIS CLASS. You must always use this email for the class, and you may not use it for any other emailing.

2. You must Cc to me a copy of everything you send in to the class; if you submit info directly on the site, you must send me an email with the info and the Unit you worked on. To send a Cc, type "lburnet" where it says "Cc" at the top of the email message. You will not receive credit for your work if you do not do this!

3. Never use your full name, or give your address or phone number. Always sign your work with your first name and last initial, and just give Germantown Academy as your address.

4. All of your work must be appropriate for school in terms of content and language.

5. Each week, we will devote one or two class periods to this activity. You must check your mail in advance! Only one person can check mail at a time, so if you have to wait around in class for others, you will lose valuable time. Check your mail on your own, and check it every day.

6. You will receive a grade for each activity out of ten (Fact Challenge, Q and A, Timeline) or twenty points (Creative Writing, Art, Essay). Each activity is essentially worth a small quiz, so treat it as such. Your total Zeus Speaks grade will be out of 100 points, the equivalent to a full-sized test. This is a good way to earn points and help your grade--just be creative, constructive, and work hard.

7. All of the info you submit must include your sources--your work will not be posted otherwise!

8. There are a total of SIX assignments to do. There are NINE units in Zeus Speaks. You will have three weeks where you can submit NOTHING. Instead, use those weeks for more research time or for writing or doing art. I must receive your work by Friday at 3:00 each week for it to count.
