On Colonial Day our classroom is transformed into an 18th century tavern. Our desks, bulletin boards, and classroom furniture seem to disappear as a colonial kitchen with fireplace, cupboards, and game room appear. Our guests can sit and eat delicious colonial foods that are being served by colonial children who strongly resemble children in Mrs. Vieille’s classroom. Menus have been created by each student to describe the mouth-watering foods at the inn. Colonial games are also taught when our guests have eaten their full.
Please enjoy the student web pages that each child created. You can learn about their roles in our tavern by listening and reading these wonderful projects.
