Woodstock

Dear Journal,

We (my boyfriend and I) finally got to New York. It took us a lot longer than we expected because the traffic was so bad, it was backed up for miles. We had to walk 3 miles or so until we found a place to sit. There are so many here it's so unbelievable. There have been helicopters flying around all day. The buzz is that some are to keep the peace and others are flying in the singers.

Everyone's stoned including me. There have been rumors of bad acid going around so I'll be careful of that.

Today I heard a guy called John Sebastian, the former singer and guitarrist of the Lovin' Spoonful say, "Just love everybody round ya' and clean up a little garbage on your way out." When Sly and the family stone sang "I Want to Take You Higher and Higher" everyone lit up and all I could see was lights. It's raining but it doesn't bother me it started 'bout midnight and now its about 3:00 AM. Till tomorrow, maybe.
