Poem for Bob Dylan

By Blair

The bullets keep on flying

Through the playgrounds of our mind

And the children's screams of agony

Will be heard throughout all time

So we are looking for some volunteers

To turn this thing around

As we are hopping over bodies

That are littering the ground

Come one come all and sing with me,

Do I have to fight for peace?

Although you've lied about your promises,

I pray your soul to keep

I have seen no streets that are paved with gold,

In our poverty stricken country

Stars and stripes and guns and bombs are our signs of liberty

So shout it out and release

The anger and the fears

Because the burden on your soul

Will be carried for many years

So although you did not fire the gun,

Or throw that one grenade

Your cruelness and your arrogance

Are leading the crusade
