- The Law was called the ius.
- Earliest law scripture was Twelve Tables
- Latest was Justinians Corpus iuris civilis.
- The jurist was a scholar in the law.
- The jurist also made it.
- The Jurists were also able to shape Roman society to what they wanted with the laws.
- There were four types of Jurors
- There was a Magistrate who wore special robes and sat on the tribune and judged the centurion.
- The centurion shaved his head to get his sentence.
- The tribal assembly voted for the magistrates.
- There were also these people called bandits and they were stereotyped to commit crimes from kidnapping, cattle rustling, robbery, and violence.
- Known bandits could be executed, there bodies put on stakes and displayed where they committed most of their crimes to scare other bandits.
