| After reciting traditional Nursery
Rhymes, the children decided to change the words and write new verses for the rhymes. When
doing this, the room was filled with laughter and excitement. They liked the silliness and
the sounds of their work. The children liked making up their own rhymes so much that they asked their Middle School buddies to join the fun. Our first grade friends enjoyed our play and were inspired to send drawings to add to our web site.

The following silly rhymes were made up by Pre- K C and their 6th grade buddies. The 6th graders drew a picture of some type of footwear. The pictures included boots, sneakers, snow shoes, hiking boots, and fancy high shoes. The older kids worked with their buddies and came up with the following rhymes. |
