State the name of your game and why you chose it.
We chose Moonshine Baby because it looked easy to organize.
List the countries where it is played and its origin.
Moonshine Baby originated in Ghana where it was played on the beach with shells. In other areas it is played outside with sticks and stones to outline the shape.
Describe how your game is played. State the object of the game. Clearly describe the rules.
- One person is named "it: and walks away or covers their eyes.
- Another person is chosen to the the "baby" and lay on the ground. Something is used to outline their bodies - the more detail the better.
- The person who is it comes back and tries to guess who the baby is from the shape of the outline.
List the equipment needed.
- People
- Something to make an outline, like a rope
Make recommendations for what type of athlete would enjoy playing this game. What skills does it demand?
Leigh: I think people who know what their friends look like will enjoy playing this game because they will be able to guess well. I think people who wear different clothing will not like this game because the "It" would always know who they are.
Julia: People who are very observant of other people and the world around them might find this game enjoyable. This game can be played outdoors on a beach, in a meadow or in the woods or in the yard. It can also be played indoors as long as there are enough people to choose from .
