log cabins and were also the
first people to build log cabins. Most of the people from Delaware were
English, Quakers, or Swedish.
Delaware and Pennsylvania used to be known as two of the three "Lower Colonies." Delaware's name came from a Virginia governor named Lord De La Ware. The colony of Delaware started in 1638. In colonial times, Delaware's capital was Dover. Delaware was the eighth colony ever settled.

who lived in Delaware. Native Americans were very unhappy that people were
taking over their land, so the Native Americans fought back at the settlers.
