The students practiced their money skills by making up "pocket riddles." They first decided on an amount under $1.00 to put in their "pocket." They decorated the front of the pocket and wrote their riddle question; e.g. "I have 8 coins in my pocket that total 77 Cents. What coins do I have?" On the inside pocket sheet they drew the coins that corresponded to their riddle. They attached the front pocket to the inside pocket. When their riddle was guessed, the answer could be checked by flipping up the outside pocket.
