Native Americans practiced the art of weaving. Pueblo Indians used wild cotton to weave clothing. The Navajos learned to weave with wool after the Spanish introduced sheep to the Southwest. Clothes, rugs, and blankets were often woven and displayed beautiful designs.

This is a summary of the story.
There was a girl named Glenmae who wanted to make a rug. So Glenmae first shaved off the goat's hair. Then she combed it out. Then she dyed it all different colors. Then she started weaving. Then it became a big beautiful rug.

Making a rug is very difficult.It takes a lot of time and a lot of hard work. There are a lot of thingsto do to make a Navajo rug.
