Ladybug is Lost!
by Helen

One day Ladybug and Painted Butterfly found a huge pumpkin. Ladybug thought
that it was going to be cool to go in the pumpkin. Painted Butterfly said, “Don’t
go in there!”
Ladybug did not listen. He nibbled through a hole just enough to go in. He looked
inside. Ladybug said, “Ew, it’s slimy in here.” Painted Butterfly
was scared that his friend Ladybug would get lost. “I hope he is ok,”
said Painted Butterfly.
While Ladybug was taking one step and another, there were more seeds. After
Ladybug searched the whole pumpkin, he said, “I better go back now,”
but he didn’t know the way out.
For days and days he tried to find his way out. Painted Butterfly gave up waiting
. So she called the pumpkin detectors to go find Ladybug . Then the next day
the detectors arrived at her house. They had a 2 hour talk. Then Painted Butterfly
led them to the
pumpkin that Ladybug was in. The detectors had shovels so they
dug through the pumpkin. The detectors split; two people went to the left, and
the same number of people to the right and straight. They could not find Ladybug
anywhere!
“Where can he be?” asked a detector. The detectors did not see Ladybug
sneaking up behind them saying, “Who are you looking for?”
That scared the detectors out of their wits! “We are looking for you ,”
said the detectors. Ladybug told all about his adventures on the way back. Moral:
Don’t go in something if don’t know what it is.
